Grumpy Sheep And The Universe!

Frohe Weihnachten . . .

That’s German for Merry Christmas!

In Malaysia, it’s Selamat Hari Natal. In Spain, it’s Feliz Navidad.

Romanians are soon to be bidding each other Un Craciun Fericit, whilst in Canada, it’s just the same as it is here in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

You might ask the reason for this impromptu lesson in festive language. It is this . . .

In the coming days, the Christmas musicals, nativities and songs composed here at Grumpy Sheep Music are set to be performed in all the above locations.

In Germany, Malaysia and Spain, Romania and Canada. Not to mention Singapore and Hong Kong, South Africa, Australia and Ireland. Then there’s the United States . Oh, and let’s not forget France.

You see, our efforts here in North-East England have a global appeal and recent weeks have been spent dispatching Caroline Hoile’s musicals - created just for children - to all corners of the planet.

To think that Come to the Manger, The Stable Surprise and The Supersonic Lamb are soon to be performed to audiences so diverse and distant thrills us a great deal . . .

This in addition to the innumerable nativities that are set to be staged all over the British Isles between now and Christmas.

Be it in Birmingham or Bucharest, Kuala Lumpur or Liverpool, Dublin, Durban or Dusseldorf, we think it speaks volumes for our work that it possesses such a worldwide allure. The language might differ, it’s true. But it seems quite clear to us that Grumpy Sheep’s charm could not be more universal!
